i think your plan is good. there’s a LOT to see in spain, but andalucia (the soturehn part) is a good way to go. 2 nights in sevilla and 2 in granada is a good plan. i think it’s actually easier to fly into sevilla (and cheaper), then train (or bus) to granada, and then train to madrid. in sevilla- the cathedral, the gardens across from the cathedral, see a flamenco show, walk around the old part. actually in my experience, you can probably do sevilla in a day/night.granada is amazing. the alhambra itself takes a day. you must do this if you go there. personally, it’s my favorite site in all of europe. go at sunrise. it’s a challenge, but it’s less crowded and waaayy pretty. madrid is also one of my favorite cities in europe. it’s so typically spain. tons of museums, the palace, the jardin de buen retiro, puerta del sol, plaza mayor, etc. awesome. i recommend the mucho madrid hostel, right on gran via near a bunch of metro stops and just north of the puerta del sol (aka, the heart of the city).if you are interested in any other cities, an easy one to visit as a day trip (from madrid) is toledo. an 40 minute bus ride for very cheap. it’s old, it’s god great views, great art, great architecture, just classic spanish greatness.i’d discourage you to try to visit any other major cities, simply because you’ll only be there for a short amount of time, and both barcelona and the pais vasco are about 6-8 hours by train from madrid, and they all require much more time then you have. so i suggest going to sevilla, granada, and madrid, and just enjoy them. definitely have a typical spanish night (i.e. don’t come home from the clubs/bars until 6am), and have fun. if you need any more info, feel free to email me. i’ve been to spain twice and have traveled around a bunch.

Not the best idea if you are afraid of height like me…
